[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the first moth I ever photographed. I used to think that moths are nocturnal creatures but this example was ver active at daytime and had me chasing it all over the valley close to where I live until it finally decided to settle down an allow me to take the shot - I was quite breathless by then. I tentatively identified it as a Bichroma Famula - Can anyone please confirm?

Very nice shot if it's really your first butterfly picture ;-)
In my opinion it's a Euclidia glyphica.
I'm not sure - the moth on the picture looks a little bit different but the butterflies on the South of Europe could looks different... Besides Euclidia glyphica is also day flying moth.

I agree with Christopher - it's the Maltese race of Euclidia glyphica. A tricky exposure with a low shutter speed and maximum aperture, but not bad for a first attempt at a difficult subject.
Regards, Nigel.

Good capture, Mark.
The image is pretty sharp and the colours are pure and original.
Well done for the first capture of a moth!

Very good photo of this moth!
It's, indeed, a Noctuidae. An Euclidia glyphica.
Excellent on details, DOF and sharpness!
Very good colours too!
5* and TFS!
