Hi Matt,
Welcome back, its been quite some time since your last posting. I see you captured a Vanessa Cardui posing on typical Maltese rocky ground. I think you chose a very strange POV and had to contend with harsh lighting conditions. Was it not possible to take the shot from right behind the butterfly and use the flash to compensate for your shadow? As it is, the ground is quite distracting [in my opinion] but on the whole, I like the whole perspective of this shot because it shows to good effect the nature of Maltese ground.
