[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the second posted shot with my new macro lenses converter. It's a baby grasshopper on dandelion. It is so small - about 5 or 6mm!

There are 18,000 kinds of grasshoppers in the world.
The grasshopper can live in all kinds of habitats.
The longest grasshopper is eleven cm long.
Grasshoppers are herbivores.
Grasshoppers go through incomplete metamorphosis.
Grasshoppers have no ears. They hear with an organ called tympanum.
Most types of grasshoppers have two pairs of wings.
Grasshoppers have five eyes.
When the female lays her eggs, she covers them with a paste-like liquid that will protect them during the winter.
Nymphs grow for 40 to 60 days before they become adults.
Some grasshoppers rub their wings together to create music, others snap their wings together while flying, and others just rub their hind legs across their front wings.

Hope you like it

Nice colour and detail, very smooth and sharp where it's in focus. Would benefit with a slightly wider DOF, maybe a smaller apperture would have helped there, but would have slowed down the exposure more. Good shot.

New theme and a variation in style, not bad at all, bro` ! Dane, misto imaginea asta, buna de revista !

Hi Dan,

Nice composition and a colorful capture. Your DOF is a bit shallow. Its brought on by choosing a aperture setting of F3.7. Try using a slower shutterspeed and a smaller lens opening. F5.6 or F8.

Well done.

Cute little hopper Sochirca, nice colours and details, very nice shot. I also think a little more DOF would have helped here, at 1/320 I think you had a some light to play with.
