Common toad (Bufo bufo)

The picture was taken in the Biogradska Gora National Park in Montenegro. This was an amazingly big toad - one of many inhabiting a camp site, having burrows below the camp lights. Every night these toads were hunting for moths circling around the light - no wonder they grew so huge :-)

Swietny portret ropuchy. Podoba mi sie omszale otoczenie, gest lapa, a przede wszystkim oczy. Niesamowite, juz wiem dlaczego w Sredniowieczu ludzie klasyfikowali ropuchy jako wyslannikow diabla ;-)

A tak w ogole to witamy na TN!

This one has great clarity and focus with an impressive amount of light too.
I think a smaller aperture would have helped to separate the subject from the BG though.
Those eyes are incredible!

Thats a great capture of this frog. Nice naturel colours. Sharp and full of details. I'm agree with the remarks from KellEY. If you use a smaller aperture the BG disappears a bit. Regards and TFS Bob
