[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Orthoptera (grasshoppers and crickets) are fascinating creatures to me.

This unknown species, most probably belonging to genus Isophya, family Tettigoniidae, I met 2000 m asl, high in the Bjelasica Mts. in Montenegro. These mountains are a true paradise for these insects. I saw at least a dozen species on the very rich alpine meadows.
As other tettigoniids they are predators hunting for all kinds of smaller insects.

I really wish I could identify this guy, but it's not so easy. Genus Isophya is very big and diverse, there are many species endemic for various mountain chains in Europe. And what's more - Balkans are main hot-spot of biodiversity in Europe.

That is an excellent macro. I really like the frame filling tight crop on this. You have amazingly good detail. The sunlight has really made the green coloring very vivid. Really well done!

Hi Michal.
We have some of these around here too.
I have searched quite a lot in a shot I posted HERE and looks very much lile the one in your photo.
Might be from the same family? although if you say in your note there are plenty of species who knows, I am not very good at insects.
This one is a great close up, with goos details, nice angle and vivid colours. TFS.
