Hi my Friends!

We returned from our holidays two hours ago and this is first, very 'raw' photo from Kotor, Montenegro. We were, to use boxing language, knocked-out by beauty of this place [by the way, car plates from Kotor area starts with KO letters ;-)]. One and only fjord in Southern Europe, where Adriatic Sea meets mountains. Very old city, full of ancients houses and churches. And last but not least - best thunderstorms I've ever seen :-) This is small example from one of our last days in Kotor - thunderstorm which started about 9PM and ended at 6AM next day. Maybe this picture is more suitable for TE, but I wanted to show you not only great show of angry nature, but also Gulf and city of Kotor. Next pictures will be nature only ;-)

Short note today, because I'm more than tired - we travelled by bus last 36 hours, we made almost 1500km trip without rest, we had got very intersting adventures [especially on Hungarian border...] so now I'm almost unconscious and I'm going to go to sleep.

Good night :-)

Hi Grzegorz,

What a fabulous display of Natures fury. The lower cloud makes it look like the lightning triggered an explosion. I really envy you witnessing such a magnificent show. Great colours, very well composed and nicely exposed. TFS and enjoy your rest.

Regards, Mark.

Kia ora Greg! Good to 'see' you again!
And what a sky this is. The window in the clouds opens and out streaks the lightning, lighting up the sky. Good one!
So pleased you enjoyed your holiday. Have a good sleep, and we'll catch you next time!

Witaj Greg,
Amazing! This one is perfect: interesting object, well captured, great PP work. Congrats! Superb shot.

Grzegorz,
Fine diagonal composition. good exposure (lightning is hard to get the bolt AND the city lights equally exposed as they are such diffrent values.) I like the blueness in the sky here. Great use of K.O. in the title (I seen the explanation in your notes)
Very fine image my friend,
Scott

My goodness Greg, what a capture! Iv always wanted to capture a lighting bolt but fear the consequences if my tripod becomes a conductor. I man was killed recently on one of my climbs in the Mourne mountains by a strike. Fantastic shot, well done.

Hello Grzegorz
I was in Montenegro and Kotor 2 years ago. I was also amazed by the nature and landscape. And now I am amazed by your picture. :-) Everything in it is just great.
Ania (Jażdżurka)

I have been looking at this one for quite a long time some days ago, intended to vote later, and I forgot...
It is a very beautiful picture, much better than many of the comercial images of lightning I have seen around.
This is not a lightning picture, but a wonderful night lanscape of with a storm, there is a big difference ;)
Regards, Felipe.

Hi Grzegorz

WOW!!!!! Amazing shot. You must be proud of this one.

Wow! This is probably the most awesome picture of lightning I've seen! Great job!

Amazing shot!! The night lights geting reflected in the sea along with the blue tinge look beautiful. And you have captured the lightning really well. The white cloud near the area where the lightning strikes also goes very well with the mood. But I think a little more contrast in the clouds of the sky would have made this even more spellbinding! An extraordinary work, thanks for sahring.
