[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
There is so bad weather in Lodz today that I decided to "change" climatic zone and geographical region and to invite you in the warmer area ;>

Here we are in really hot region of S Montenegro - Lovćen Mts. The temperature in this place - even in September, in higher that 20-25C so there is really nice! ;>

The higher and the most beautiful part of these mountains is protected as a Lovćen National Park.

The park was proclaimed in 1952 and its area is about 6,220 ha.

Interesting is that Lovćen NP was established to protect not only the beauty of nature but also (mainly??) a rich historical, cultural and architectural heritage of the area with the biggest and the most important monument localized in this region - Mausoleum of Petar II Petrović-Njegoš, a prince-bishop of Montenegro (1813-1851).

The higher peaks of Lovćen are: Štirovnik (1,749 m) - where army base is localizied, and Jezerski vrh (1,657 m) with a mausoleum.

It you are lucky and the weather is good you can see from these mountains not only a very beautiful Adriatic fjord - Boka Kotorska, but even the other national park of Montenegro - Skadar Lake.

And now a few words about an interesting fauna and flora of this area. There are a lot of different birds like falcos and eagles, different snake and lizard species, and of course insects. Also a diversity of plants is really reach - over 1100 species were found here till now, including four endemics.

And last but not least, I would like to dedicate this "warm" photo to my friends from the cold Sweden: Ulla (Uleko) and Ivan (Argus) :>

Many thanks for your kind dedication, I certainly welcome the warmth!! It looks like a potential area for Ophrys and little blue butterflies so it's just right for me! You've captured this scene very nicely with a great depth of focus and from a nice viewpoint. Sounds and looks like a very interesting National Park.

Hi Radomir,
it's hard to keep up with your nice images. I like this one because I can see myself walking here. Must defenitly be good for some snakes (sorry, herpetoloy is my favorite) and other things.
Great contrast and sharpness. I think even at 100% picture looks pretty sharp.

Thank you for this dedication, which makes us even more inclined to get away from our cold country to some Mediterranean warmth. Limestone habitats are always interesting and this looks like no exception: perhaps we can travel to it sometime.

O, Lovcen :-) Widzielismy pare razy z daleka, ale nie starczylo nam juz czasu i pogody, zeby zobaczyc z bliska. Piekny krajobraz, podoba mi sie kombinacja kolorow i perspektywa.

Ostatnio cierpialem na totalny brak czasu, a poza tym zmiany, zmiany, zmiany...no ale mam nadzieje, ze juz wyszlismy na prosta.
