Two important things here...the angle of the mushrooms in a diagonal and the complete saturation with nice soft earth tones..That indeed is what makes this one! A superior shot..hard images to make into beauty but you do it well!
Bob

Hello Gert,

Wonderful diagonal composition. Excellent POV which allows a perfect contrast of the light colour of the fungi against the darkness of the branch. Excellent DOF and sharpness too. Good natural colours.
Cheers,
Mariki

Nice one Gert!
Very good exposure and detail, nicely lit stems, and a beautiful composition.
An excellent job all round.
A great image.
Well done!
Steve

Hallo Gert,

Mooi werk geleverd.

Groeten Bob

Hello Gert,
What a lovely little group of Mycena fungi with fungi on their feet! Excellent POV and a very nice composition. Lovely light and colours too. Well done!
TYFS and best wishes, Ulla

Ciao Gert,
TFS.
Maurizio

These look like they belong in a fairy tale. You have a good eye for spotting such a perfect little grouping of fungi. They look so nice against that angled dark wood behind them. The leaves and other forest litter look so nice with the very limited color palette. Nice work.

What passion and patience, and skills, go through in this picture. You are a great fungi photographer, Gert. This is a little beauty and I love the colours, perfectly natural with so different earth tones.

Hi Gert,

These are so pretty - I would think they would be edible. They remind me of little parasols. Beautiful colors and details - the contrast with the dark log is marvelous. I love the setting and composition.

Jane

A beautiful grouping of finely formed mushrooms outcoming from a rotting log Gert, a perfect capture showing them within a natural microhabitat. A fine image indeed my friend.

Gert, Superb shot with excellent color tones. Lovely clarity and composition. Ganesh

Hi Gert,
Wonderful group shot, great compo and sharpness. I also found and photographed this specie a few weeks ago, it wasn't easy at all (to get optimal focus, exposure and so on), so my hat is off of You! Bravo.
The workshop version is much poorer by my opinion. But the original rules. Top notch image.
Greetings from the momentarily snowy Hungary, László
