Today the same specie as yesterday in an different pov.
This one are lighter from colour and four years later taken.

I hope you like my fungi photo's.

Latin name - Mycena pura

Common Name: none

Synonym: Prunulus purus (Pers.: Fr.) Murrill

Pileus
Cap 1.5-4.5 cm broad, conic, then convex, finally nearly plane with a low umbo, margin striate, sometimes upturned in age; surface smooth, moist, hygrophanous, color varying from purple, lilac, greyish-lilac, rose, pinkish-grey to nearly white, fading in age; flesh thin, pale lilac; taste and odor mildly of radish.

Lamellae
Gills adnexed, close, moderately broad, intervenose, colored like the cap but lighter, e.g. dingy-buff-lilac when young to pinkish-buff in age, edges paler than the faces.

Stipe
Stipe 2-6 cm tall, 0.2-.7 cm thick, hollow, fragile, equal or tapering to an enlarged base, the latter hairy; surface pruinose at the apex, otherwise smooth, concolorous with the cap, e.g. lilac fading to pinkish-lilac in age; veil absent.

Spores
Spores 6-8.5 x 3-4 µm, smooth, elliptical, amyloid; spore print white.

Habitat
Single to scattered in mixed hardwood/conifer woods; fruiting from late fall to late winter.

Edibility
Questionable. Reported as edible, at least in small amounts, but too unsubstantial to collect for the table.

Comments
This Mycena is not only large for the genus but also attractive with a pleasing usually lilac-colored, striate-margined cap. Other identifying characters are the gills which are lighter than the cap and have pallid edges, a hollow, fragile stipe, and a radish-like odor and taste. Mycena pura is one of several purple-colored mushrooms in the Bay Area. It is most likely to be confused with Inocybe geophylla var. lilacina, but that species lacks a striate margin, has a green corn odor and brown spores. Laccaria amethysteo-occidentalis is a larger mushroom, more distinctly purple when fresh and has a fibrous, not smooth stipe. Finally, there is Clitocybe nuda and several lilac-colored Cortinarius species, but these are significantly more robust.

Good morning Gert!
Nice to see that you are my neighbour again.
Nice illustrative capture of this species of fungus taken from a fine low POV with excellent sharpness and DOF with beautiful delicate colours among the dead leaves.
Yes, I like your fungi shots and this one has a fine autumnal feeling.
TFS this beauty,
Have a good weekend,
Groet,
Ivan

Hola Gert,
atractivo disparo,
bello pov y composición,
colores suaves y hermosos.
saludos

Hi Gert
A fine fungus picture with a nice low POV.
It's well composed with fine details and nice colours.
I find the BG a bit busy because of the big DOF , I think
F8 had the BG better and still have the whole fungus on focus,
but nevertheless it's a nice picture.
Well done.
Have a great weekend.
/Gert

Hi Gert.
Once more actual autumn scene with so nice pair of mushrooms and wonderful dry leaf carpet around. Excellent POV and DOF. Sharp image of the mushrooms are looked perfectly on a smooth a bit and at the same time well detailed BG. My compliments and TFS.
Alexei.

Hallo Gert,
Deze foto vanuit een lager standpunt vind ik mooier dan de vorige. De kleuren en het licht zijn schitterend. Erg goede scherpte. Compositie en omgeving met de herfstbladeren zijn fantastisch.
Groet,
Peter

Hello Gert,
Excellent capture - I love these mushroom pics.
I find the details very good and the DOF excellent so we can see the whole mushroom in focus.
Best regards
Siggi

Hallo Gert,

Mooie kleurzetting. Goed werk

Groeten

Bob

Hello Gert,

Nice to be your neighbour today. I like the way you have shown these delicate mushrooms. DOF is big enough to keep both of them in focus and the sharp image shows them well. I like the light reflections on the moist surface of mushrooms hat. Dead leafs makes a good background enhacing the sharpness of the main subject.

Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

Hello Gert,
Just critiqued Your countrymate euroblinkie's photo. About the ID specification I must say the same: this isn't Mycena pura, but Mycena rosea. Please read my comment there about the differences. They are often confused due to the similarities, but with a little experience You can isolate them.
Composition, sharpness, color and light management are fantastic, congrats for this masterful image.
Tfs, greetings from Hungary, László
