This bird is from the island Ameland, unfortunely the colonie of gulls and terns is destroyed this year because of a storm and the water came too high, the colonie is just beside the dam, very easily to watch at.

Mooie foto, Peter. Jarenlang woonde ik op Texel en zag in het zomerseizoen deze sternen bijna dagelijks voorbij vliegen. Absoluut gave vogels.
De foto vertoont alleen wel wat blauwige zweem. Ik heb in een workshop geprobeerd dit er wat uit te halen. De vogel ook iets overbelicht al krijg je dan vanzelf ook een halo effect rond de vogel (beetje witte kring).

Hello Peter,
this is a good picture of a species of bird we don't see often. The best parts are the elegant movement and the prey (an eel?). The light from the right gives the bird much 3D. Well doneĻA made a workshop version, but you don't accept it with your preference setting. Your loss.
