Hello Jacob,
What I like about this shot of the White Wagtail, apart from the sharpness, comp and BG is that you achieved a catchlight in the eye, which is something I didn't achieve with mine.

Ha Jacob,

Schitterend scherpe foto.Als je 500 lens nog beter is, word ik wel erg benieuwd. Met mijn lens ( sigma 170 - 500 mm.)is deze scherpte al een utopie.

This is a very fine shot of the elegant Wagtail. Like Ivan's your shot is hold in the grey tones, which suits so well to the plumage of the bird.

Hi Jacob

Even if this species is quite a frequent find here on TN, i really like your shot because i find it very sharp and nicely composed.
The bird here is clearly isolated from everything else in the frame due to an exact choice of DOF and an excellent POV.
The exposure is also very well managed (even though it's not that easy in bright sun and having white feathers) and the colors are lovely.
The small wind blowing some of its featehrs is also a nice toutch :))

I like how the overall colors of this picture are similar yet the subject still stands out so clearly. And i salute you for the good control of light, sharpness and DOP to make this picture a good one.

I also like the composition because it includes a little of the surroundings giving it more interest to the picture.

Great capture Jacob. I love the ?cololurs on this bird. Ok the greys...
Nice pose too. Will have to try with the Sigma soon to get some birds. Butterflies and flowers better done with the Macro lens.
