Hi Gert,

This dead tree laying at the water's edge makes a very interesting subject. It's the kind of shot that captures the imagination. I see what look like bird carvings at both ends of the long branch. Is that snow on the hills across the water? I like this - my eye keeps returning to the dead wood.

Hi Gert!

Your plain and simple image gives a fine impression of the nature in Friesland. I like the "sculpure" in the foreground very much, it leads us into the picture and gives it the depth of view.

THis is a very special picture, I love this place - it looks a bit sad, abandoned, desolated, but even then it has some very unique beauty. I love this old stem lying here dying, and the picture is very nicely composed, from an excellent POV. I also like the natural colors very much. Very well done !
