Today one picture from the Viola family and not so common.
I hope you like it.

I think this are the first one on TN.

Thanks for visiting and critique on my previous post.

Latin name - Viola reichenbachiana

The early dog-violet is a low growing plant similar to the common dog-violet, but flowering slightly earlier, from March to May. The pale purple flowers have a spur that is darker than the petals. The shiny green, oval leaves are slightly narrower than those of the common dog-violet and those on the upper stem have furled bases.

This tiny plant likes dry woodland edge habitats, especially on chalk or limestone. It is locally common in England, but rare in Wales and Ireland, and largely absent from Scotland. This is an early source of nectar for bees. In the wild, it is the food plant of several species of fritillary butterflies, all of which are declining.

Hi Gert,

It's so wonderful to see so many beautiful flowers I have not seen before. This Viola is beautiful with lovely colors and fine details. I love how it looks against the blurred background.
