Inachis io on Prunus spinosa
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Inachis io on Prunus spinosa / Peacock Butterfly on Blackthorn / Tagpfauenauge auf Schlehdorn oder Schwarzdorn / Paon du jour au Prunier épineux( Épine noire, Prunellier).
Nettle eaters: Inachis io (Peacock)
Peacocks hibernate as butterflies. As soon as the days become sunny and warm again in early spring the first Peacocks re-appear. You can spot them as early as March. The females prefer nettles in sunny but damp places like river banks to lay their egs. The caterpillars live in groups until they are nearly fully grown.

Hi Harm :)
you did a great photo!
contrast and sharpness are v.good. I like the POV. The flower in the top is a little bit to bright but I think it doesn`t a big problem here. The butterfly is well shown.
my congratulations :)

Harm, a very beautiful shot indeed. Vivid colors, very nice composition. I like the blurred bg too. Great moment
Hoi Harm,
Staat er mooi op, vlinder komt mooi 'los' van de ondergrond, fijne kleuren.
Very nice BG, DOF and POV. However the reflection from the flower is overpowered.
