Today this specie that be eaten are trough the Damselfly from yesyrtdsy.
It belongs to the night butterfly's and it"s not easy to photograph this specie.

Latin name -Chrysoteuchia culmella

Wingspan c.20 mm.

One of our commonest 'grass moths', this species flies in June and July and is easily distinguished with its one or two angled cross-lines and metallic golden fringe to the forewings.

By day it rests head-down on grass stalks, and is easily disturbed.

Its normal flight time is at night, when it is attracted to light.

The larvae feed on the stems of various types of grasses, usually at the base.

Your moth has a "Character" appearance as though it came from or belongs in a comic strip. It is other-worldly and fascinating. Also it is technically an almost perfect image:-)

This is a strange moth, Gert, very well photographed with lots of details and a very fine composition. The upside down head gives this picture a strange look, at first we wonder what we are looking at. The light is great, the sharpness is perfect and the information very interesting. Thank you so much,

Francine
