[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While taking an other snorkle (is it called that way?)session, I came across this weird looking creature. It was moving fast over the ground. When I came too close, it just put his head in the sand, wiggled a bit and dove into the sand. Within seconds it had disappeared as quickly as it had appeared.
I think it's a spotted snake eel, but I'm not sure.

I know the picture isn't the highest quality. Considering the speed with which the eel was swimming, the amount of air I still got left in my longs when we met and the poor water quality I think the shot turned out ok.

Edit: doing a bit of internet search, I think it's a goldspotted snake eel.

Wow, I have never seen such a snake, it has amazing colours and structures... You captured very well its movement, sharpness and colours are great... Very well done!

The title fits well, Frank, as I have having trouble finding the head for sure :-) Very interesting eel.. and consideriing all the factors, captured very well. Nice to see an aquatic animal in its natural habitat. Nicely done :-) and thanks for sharing!

A very good instant shot of a snake eel.
Good composition and presentation too.

I think it's a beautiful photo Frank, the eel is so interesting and in the frame he balances the parts of the photo well. All that white sand makes him stand out, but you can tell he'd be able to hide quite well when he wanted to. I think the focus is very good, as is the light, the frame is very complimentary also, well done.

That is a very unusual creature, Frank. It is beautiful and you have done a fantastic job of capturing it under such difficult conditions. I really like those bright golden spots on the eel. Very well composed. Thanks for sharing. : )

Odd-looking sea snake or eel, great colours.
Good POV.
