[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
After a hard weeks work it is nice to have some time to spent at preparing and posting shots at TN. This time a plain bee working a Buddleia davidii - Butterfly Bush. A plant which attracts insect with its pleasant smell.

Great picture Jan, although that is no bee. It is a a type of Hoverfly and it looks likely to be Eristalis tenax (Drone-fly). It is a honey-bee mimic so it's disguise has been successful in fooling you! Great macro with good colours.

Hola Jan: Wow, the details of the skin of the bee remind me to those of the skin of a tiger. In my pictures of the bees, me to notice that that part exactly under the eyes to the left is very reflejante, your you have captured it perfectly, with a perfect illumination and clarity. The colors of the flowers are beautiful, a very beautiful mark for this insect, cordial greetings. *Ninfa Urania*

Great macro picture with excellent details, very good colours and sharpness, this is another lens that I need ... :-)

Very clear shot of this hoverfly Jan - you can see it is not a bee from the bif eyes and the markings of course - Pauls ID is spot on. Great details and well blurred background to set the fly off.

Delicious shot here. This is just a great macro with colour, focus, and colors. Great.
