First of all...in the workshop you'll find an appropriate size. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The tiger (Panthera tigris) is a mammal of the Felidae family, one of four "big cats" in the Panthera genus. Native to the mainland of southeastern Asia, the tiger is an apex predator and the largest feline species[3] in the world, comparable in size to the biggest fossil felids. The Bengal Tiger is the most common subspecies of tiger, constituting approximately 80% of the entire tiger population, and is found in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, and Nepal. An endangered species, the majority of the world's tigers now live in captivity.

The tiger is solitary and territorial, preferring cover in deep forest, but also ranging in open areas. The cat hunts by stalk-and-ambush and may take a variety of mid- and large-sized prey, particularly ungulates. Males are much larger than females and have larger home ranges. Amongst the nine extant tiger subspecies, there is significant size variation.(wiki)

Photo taken in "Safaripark Beekse Bergen".
I spent a lot of time there... waiting...came back on several days...sometimes I didn't have the right lens and so forth...or the light wasn't good.
I am quite satisfied about this one...:-)

Hi Annick,
Quite a startling POV and expression, the golden side lighting is amazing. Perfect DOF and focus...very well done. I read yesterday that there are only 5000 left in the wild...tragic.

Hey Annick, maybe you should've titled this one "Funeral Postponed" :)
I like the warm light/color. Sharp too ;)

Wonderful portrait with stunning light and colors. If he would have looked at you (and I bet you were thinking that when shooting) it would be an image for the ages. But it still is a masterpiece that makes me drool. Most excellent, Annick!
Cheers, Klaus

Hi Annick.
Another one of your outstanding images. The lighting is just perfect coming in on the tiger. Colour and detail beautiful. The golden colour on the grasses surrounding him looks good, lovely environment feeling.
Wonderful

Hi Annick,
The colors, Composition and lighting are excellent in this capture. Very nice details showing a true king's attitude. Thanks a lot for sharing.

It is a great capture... worth the wait! The larger version is very dramatic. The side light is wonderful. Your shutter speed isn't all that fast but you managed to stop the action nicely. It is a shot to be proud of.
