[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I guess I woke this lemur up. That's why the eyes are sleepy.
I was thinking about the actor Jack Nicholson when I saw this pic. In a lot of his movies this great actor had a kind of look similar to the one depicted here.


The Ring-tailed Lemur is a large prosimian, a lemur belonging to the family Lemuridae. The Ring-tailed Lemur is the only species within the genus Lemur and, like all other lemurs, is found only on the island of Madagascar.

Although threatened by habitat destruction and therefore listed as vulnerable by the IUCN Red List, the Ring-tailed Lemur is the most populous lemur in zoos worldwide; they reproduce readily in captivity.

Very nice portrait. I love the DOF. The focus right on the lemers face is perfect, Exposure spot on. This photo just pops for me. Very nice.

it's a cute shot, I love this lemur so much, they have such a friendly face and their tails with the stripes are beautiful.
Excellent sharp shot, very well done.
If you like monkeys - have you ever been to Appeldoorn/Netherlands, there's a monkey-park, the smaller ones are all free there and it happens that they sit on your shoulder and search for food in your bags ;-) It's so funny there. Bye bye

Hello Annick,
look at those eyes they seem to have an hypnotizing effect ;-). Great capture,I do like the DOF clear sharp details in the face and lovely softness around the edges. Nice tight crop and very well presented.
