Hi Marie,

A beautiful male damselfly in a perfectly horizontal position on the green leaf. Beautiful colors and details. The female in the workshop is very good - of course her colors aren't as bright as the males. Wonder why nature gives males all the beautiful colors?

Believe me or not, but I try to take a picture of this species last 3 years! And till now nothing! Even if this is not rare species (I would even say: it is even common in my region), I had no luck :(
And because of that even more I like you picture now :)

I like the way you have shown thedelicate structure of damselfly's wings. You have chosen a very well adapted DOF keeping the whole insect in focus and therefore showin excelent details.

Oooh Marie, what a beauty you've captured here. Stunning combination of brilliant red and gold, two of my favourite colours.
Great POV, sharpness and edtails. Good DOF, the only minor nit I can see is the 2nd leg gis not quite in focus, but its a minor detail.
