Oak Tree, Dune Landscape
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Photo above taken at Loonse en Drunense Duinen National Park (2008).
This typical young oak tree is being held back in it's growth by the forces of nature and the lack of nutrients in the soil, (the dune sand), which gives it a Bonsai-like character.
FZ8 RAW-file developed using Silkypix 3.0 Developer Studio (as TIFF); PP for contrast, shadows, and USM sharpening for web in Photoshop (elements). |

Hello Dimitri, my today neighborough!
Very nice composition in this sandy picture :) I especially like the tree in the middle of photo. This places looks really like habitat for my favourite insect group - tiger beetles :)
TFS and have a nice weekend!

Hi dimitri,
lovely presentation of this excellent scenery. The colours are very dramatic and the sharpness is so well done.
nicely composed subjects, the tree, the sky and the foreground.
Nice views.
regards,
Foozi
