Sympetrum depressiusculum, a species of late summer. Picture shows a female Spotted darter
Most localised and poorly dispersing Sympetrum species. Extends to the eastern fringe of the Asian continent where, paradoxically in a European context, it occasionally occurs invasively in Japan. Vulnerable to changes in management.
