| This small tree, member of the rosefamily (Rosaecae) is a common tree in the dunes of Holland and in many other countrys. Known as Maythorn, it has a very strong and overwhelming scent and it blooms exuberant in may with enormous amounts of white flowers. |

Hello Gerrit
Welcome to TrekNature.
I was pleasantly surprised when I opened your image up. What a wonderful macro with super detail. A very unique looking flower. The dark background really shows off the white blossoms.
Nicely done.
TFS Janice
Hello again Gerrit! This is the Common Hawthorn in English...
The Common Hawthorn Crataegus monogyna is a species of hawthorn native to Europe, northwest Africa and western Asia.
Other common names include May, Maythorn, Quickthorn, and Haw.
You have a beautiful macro here; well focussed on the central flower. Tfs, Jay
Hello Gerrit,
Those flowers look like the Apple Tree's flowers we have here in the spring. This is a very sharp and beautiful capture of those little ones. Details and exposure are very good. Well done! Thanks,
Claudine
