[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Foulque macroule - Fulica atra - Coot

Coots are entirely charcoal grey apart from the white bill and facial shield. They breeds on the edges of lakes, ponds and rivers.

This one was trying to impress me (Kids were in the distance with the other parent, hidding). He was charging. Then stopping one meter away from me. Then going 5m away, and then charging again. All this, again and again. I took so many shots of him.

I like the reflection of the purple flowers.

Thanks for looking.

Hello Jean Marie,
Wonderful capture.Details on black feathers,POV,colors, cross framing and composition are excellent.
TFS...:-)

HA! You have a good one here JEanMArie!

I like it a lot, especially your informative note. I learned something! TFS.

Coming back to the photo, which I like a lot I notice two things:
a) the white on the head of the bird is a bit washed out,
and
b) < don't laugh! > you have a very interesting and colourful background!

What is it? I mean the reflection with the many colours...

I think it is both interesting and distracting. To prove that theory I will do a WS.

Please tell me what you think!

Jay
