[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Terns (Sterna hirundo) and gulls (Larus ridibundus)

They are nesting in a field along the road. They don't mind cars passing by. But if you walk by, they all take off and patroll the sky. Mind dropping from gulls and mind the sharp bill of terns.
Attacks are fake for those walking along the road but would be real for anyone intruding in the nesting field itself.
Duivendrecht is 12 km away from the see.

I wish I could redo the pic as more DOF wouldn't hurt. But It's not so easy. Next nesting is next year. I don't like to expose myself to their attack(maybe with an umbrella next time), and I don't want to disturb the nesting on purpose.

Thanks for looking

Hi JeanMarie,
An interesting composition. I like how the entire frame is filled with flying birds. Good sharpness and detail. Looks like the exposure is spot on. Well done.
TFS!
Mike

Hi JeanMarire,
It is an excellent composition. I agree that more DOF and a slightly faster shutter speed would enhance the shot. It is nice to see two different species of birds in this shot. Now you know what you need to do to get an even better shot next nesting season!

Hello Jean,
Nice action "group" shot with good detail, color, and exposure. Composed well with em' all flyin' in the right direction at a good angle :)
Well done & TFS!
