Argynnis niobe / Niobe Fritillary / duinparelmoervlinder / Stiefmütterchen-Perlmutterfalter oder Mittlerer Perlmutterfalter / Le Chiffre, Nacré mat.
The Niobe Fritillary (Argynnis niobe) is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. It is common throughout Europe, but absent from Northern Europe, and is also found in Siberia, Russia, Iran, China and Korea.
Flight is from May to August, Size is between 46mm and 60mm, and is found at altitudes between sea level and 2,400m.
Description
This spicies has a brown-orange background with black dots and stripes.
Feeding Habits
This spicies feeds on Viola tricolor and Plantago lanceolata.

Hello Harm,
I've never seen these butterflies but your picture is - as always - great. Perfectly composed, the only one thing not perfect are colours - picture seems to be a little bit dark.
