Hello Gert !
I love all the ducks, and this species is so beautiful, with the red head. I like how you have captured them in their natural environment, I guess the female is quite difficult to see in the grass ( excellent camouflage. Nice details on the ducks, natural colors, excellent composition and POV, and it's great, also, to have both male and female on the same picture. Very well done !

Leuke foto van dit koppeltje Smientjes. Binnenkort komen ze hier de polder weer in waar ze 's winters met honderden verblijven. Mooie kleuren, goede scherpte en compositie. Vanuit een uitstekend laag standpunt genomen.

Lovely capture of the dabbling ducks with superb clarity!
