Hoi Peter,
Je hebt een erg originele pose weten vast te leggen. Niet het gewone staande, maar eentje tijdens een wasbeurt. Het laat daardoor wel de veren mooi zien. Je rustige warme achtergrond heeft de kleuren van de vogel erg mooi naar voren weten te brengen. Scherpte en belichting zijn super.

A very awkward looking way to stand,but I guess balance is the name of the game.The plumage is striking and very vivid.The colours are well saturated and there is excellent sharpness and detail.The vertical composition and close crop is very well done.I have seen other large birds preen like this ,where they take a large feather and run it through their beak.Nicely done.TFS

Good one! Interesting pose and great detail. Look like an older bird - usually the head and neck area is as vibrant as the plumage. But birds get grey, too... :) Well done! Cheers, Klaus

I love this Ibis in a beautiful preening pose. Very well-timed shot all in focus, very sharp and the colours are beautiful. I've seen these birds once when we spent Christmas day on Trinidad and saw these beautiful red birds flying in to settle in the treees on a swamp - just like Christmas decorations!
