[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I've been too busy with the macro shot itself that I dont have the name of this butterfly yet. I took it In Swiss, hope to learn more about the exposure time and apture by posting this picture.
Thanks reina

Wow. Beautiful shoot! I like the warm color temperature in the picture. Very well done.

Reina:
A very nice photograph of Lycaena vigaureae, the Scarce Copper. It would benefit from a little sharpening (Nikon's own in-camera sharpening is pretty gentle by default), and a little more depth of field (smaller aperture) but otherwise it's good. Are you letting the camera completely control exposure in "program" mode? When you are identifying "location," it helps if you identify where the picture was orginally taken, as this species does not occur in the Netherlands (fortunately you mention Switzerland in your note). I've done a very simple workshop. Keep taking the pictures ;)
Regards, Nigel.

Hello Reina,
very nice capture with a superb composition,
sharpness, colors, light, composition, everything is good! TFS

Hi Reina.
It's a nice picture with good POV and colours.
It's a bit soft. Nigel did a good WS.
Well done.

Hi Reina

Quick critique today as I am sneaking it in from work. Very nice shot. Great colours. Nicely composed. Sharpness, detail and clarity are all spot on. Nice work. Thanks.

Hello Reina,
I must just have missed this beauty you uploaded the other day. I really like it, and if you follow Nigel's advice you will have a perfect shot of this Virgaurea. Perhaps some more cropping would do the trick too.
Congratulations to a very appealing picture!

What a lovely butterfly in a nice composition that you have very well done ! Perhaps sharpness a bit soft... Congratulations Reina and thanks for sharing.

Hi Reina,
I passed this one!
It's such a lovely shot with this colourful butterfly on that pretty flower, I like it very much, thanks, it's giving me positive spirits - it's so cold outside!
Sabine - wishnugaruda

Beautiful subject with an excellent perch. Nice colours, details and POV. Composition is very strong. I would have forced USM just a bit more, but only a personal taste, look also nice this way. Thanks very much for sharing.

I like the composition and colors of this shot.

Beautifull soft out of focus areas in this image, sharpness on the butterfly is very good. As for composition, I personally would have cropped a bit off the bottom. The flower is exactly "dead center" in the image now.

Reina,

Excellent picture. Great POV. I really like it.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Reina,
delightful, very well composed picture of the Scarce Copper.
Very good pose and well chosen point of view to show both sides of the butterfly in a perfect way.
Perfectly chosen background to bring out the strikingly strong red iridescence.
The only reconizable soft element of the background is deliberately taken into a well balanced composition.
Very pretty shot - and Merlin's workshop added to final perfection. Excellent contribution.
Thanks, and regards,
Peter
