[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Took the shot of this Libellula when we were cycling yesterday having a backback with our photogear with us. I don't actually know what type of Liibellula this is.
I usually have some problems shooting macro shots handheld but it was a beautyful sunny day so my aperture could be resonably small still having fast enough shutterspeeds.
I however still believe that a tripod almost becomes mandatory when wanting to shoot sharp macro shots especially in none sunny conditions but for this shot its ok I think.
ISO was set to 200 to get faster shutterspeed.

details, colour, DOF maximum levels.
be ware, perhaps you have dust on your sensor (little brown spot)

Hi Mario

Hi Kim, it is a Black-Tailed Skimmer (Orthetrum cancellatum)

Very nice detailed capture, good DoF with nice perspective, stands out well against that plain background.

Looks like your sensor could do with a clean, there are several visible spots.

Regards
Terry.

Hooi Kim,

You have done a wonderful job with this hand-held macro of an interesting dragonfly, Kim.
Remarkable POV, DOF, sharpness and colours. The BG suits the subject very well.
