Just near the city in Utrecht, these guys are waiting for a brother or sister to enter this place. See the left egg. A magical moment, with an update tomorrow.
Hope its also a turning point, 2007 started of sad, but for now I hope to be back on Trek, spend time improving skills and visit old friends to share great moment nature offers.

Reina

the cicks are called meerkoeten around here, cant find translation yet

Hoi Reina,
Groetjes,
Niek

Hello Reina,
BEautiful scane.Well caught, framed and composed.POV,details and lighting are also excellent.Have a great week!
TFS..:-)

Oh... my favorites... coot chicks ! I've been trying for a couple of years to get a half decent shot of these little 'clown faced' babies with their red and yellow heads. Haven't had any luck. What a beautiful shot you have here ! Great POV, excellent details and color and a very nice overall composition. Well done and TFS, Mish

Hi Reina.
Excellent image for detail on these chicks, the nest and the hatching egg, look forward to seeing the next image.
Can you point me to an adult image of this bird anywhere here on TN, love to see what these little chaps look like grown, you called them meerkoeten.

Hi Reina.
I think the title "Second start" is more suitable. I have not had time to give a response as the picture has been removed. It is simply amazing. Touching so attractive scene and perfect quality if its reproduction. All is great: composition. crisp sharpness and perfect details, DOF and POV. Bravo and best regards.
Alexei.

Hi Reina,
groetjes Paula

nice (ugly) babies, TFS Ori

Lovely detail and colours,nice composition.
Nice work,very well done.

Hi Reina...A great opportunity photographed well.

What a fantastic capture, Reina.
How did you manage to find this nest and take a picture?
A priceless scene with the two newborn chicks, and a third on the way.
I love these coot babies... They are so funny looking.
Great details and colors.
TFS. : )

Hi Reina,
It 's good to be back. And the new start speaks for itself.
Great fragile moment, with the other eggs also close to come out!
The translation for Koet is Coot, in fact very simple, so similar to the Dutch word.
What a nice colourful heads these birds have in this period! It is a pity that this will disappear when they are more fullgrown.
Great shot, well done.
Regards, Ruud
