Ook maar eentje uit de oude doos? Het is een goed uitgesneden portret geworden. Het kopje mooi scherp. Met f/8 of wellicht f/11 zou de scherptediepte denk ik wat verder doorlopen. Theoretisch was het mogelijk geweest, gelet op je snelle sluitertijd van 1/1000 sec. Maar ja, de praktijk is anders. In ieder geval heel mooi gelukt.

Hi Reina,
I really like the frame filling composition. Soft direct sunlight looks good. Detail is excellent, but I think your DOF needed to be greater. Head areas is sharp, but end of bill goes soft as it falls off in the DOF. The water droplets look great, and this has a high cutness factor going on.

P.S. Around C.T. you have Table Mountain for shots (rock dassie, birds, insects, flowers, etc.), Robben Island (lowers, penguins, seals, possibly dolphins), Winelands, Sunsets from the mountain or beaches.

He or she is soo cute. I like the waterdrops on the feathers. It needs a little bit of sharpness but otherwise it is nice. Well done.

Good shot, lovely tight compo and CUTE. The reflection on the beak is OE, a polfilter might have helped at the expense of an f/stop or so. Well done!

This is a well composed mugshot Reina. Good detail, POV & eye contact. How much did you crop this image? As you may already know, over-cropping will degrade the viewable image significantly.

Very cute bird portrait. Composition is nice. The only thing is lack of some sharpness. But the thing that it's strongly cropped as you have written, explains the thing.

Hi Reina,
Cute shot. Love the water droplets and the soft colours. I think I might have shot this around f8 as you obviously had plenty of light. Also, I wonder if a slight puff of fill flash might have evened out the shadows a bit.

Reina, I'd try to add some more sharpness to the picture.
