[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [Dutch]
No, this is not the first snow this year in Holland (-:. I take this photo on New Year's Day 2004. It snowed in the morning and when it became dry I have gone to the dunes at the coast and have this photograph been taken. I hope you like this. Have a nice weekend. TFS BOB

You guessed what my first reaction would be... "Oh no... not snow already!" It is a nice photo but I can wait till January for this weather. You really captured the chill and the grayness. I like the pond and the foreground tree a lot.

Hi Bob,
as strange as it sounds, i would LOVE to have this kind of weather here in the south of the UK....it just never snows anymore.
If it weren't for the subtle hint of bown in the branches here, this could easily be a black and white image! Great sharpness, well framed and a great job on the exposure - never easy with snow.

Hello Bob,
White, white snow, so beautifully captured with the dunelake!
Good clarity with nice colour and details that show us the chill and cold from Holland!
a nice picture to me!
thanks for sharing
Tony

Hi Bob.
Beautiful composition using the trees on both sides to keep the eye leading through to the lake and beyond. Beautiful sharp and detailed.
Wonderful

Hi Bob,
Misschien krijgen we volgend jaar wel weer sneeuw, laten we duimen. Dan kunnen we in ieder geval weer van die mooie sneeuwlandschappen vastleggen. Mooie compo met de donkere reflectie van de bomen in het water.
Goed gezien

Hi Bob

That is a stunning winter scene. Lovely sharp details, great DOF and good exposure. Brrr it is making me feel cold :)

Hi Bob

I picked this photo from you because of 2 reasons:
1. I wish we had such a scenery outside now so that i can take such pictures, too. Unfortunately, here is very very cold but totally dry :(( I'm really looking forward to taking some nice full-winter landscapes this season.

2. This is a place where as a biologist i find much interest in :) In such natural habitats one is very likely to find frogs, toads, maybe snakes, lots of dragonflies and damselflies...all animals with great interest for me. Surely not in this time of the year, but in the warm season. I would love to see how this place looks in the summer... Maybe next year you'll visit it again and come back with some lovely pictures, too :)

Anyway, it's a great winter landscape, with the typical cold atmosphere and the almost monochrome look. Nice work!

Bravo and TFS

Hello Bob,
WHat a lovely Christmas card!! I hope we can some frost on the trees here at least to get that special Christmas feeling. Excellent atmospheric image - it looks pretty cold! I like the reflections in the water and the very fine POV. A brilliant composition!
Many thanks and regards, Ulla

Hello Bob,
Amazing effect from snow and low light, turns the image to a black and white experience!
Well composed presentation, fine mirror in the small lake...
Greetings,
Pablo -

wat een prachtig plaat dit is, Hollandser kan het niet

Hoi Bob,
Groeten
Niek

Great detail and well framed Bob.
I like the bit of reflection I see, this stark winter scene looks very cold :)
TFS!
Howard
