Hi All,
Just back from a trip to the netherlands, brought a visit to the Rotterdam Zoo Blijdorp, where this picture is taken, after that we visited a few days the Island Schiermonnikoog, whereof I will show some picture later this week, although this capture is taken in the ZOO,I like the way how this otters where relaxing during the summerheat, hope you like it as well and thanks for your visit.
The European Otter (Lutra lutra), also known as the Eurasian otter, Eurasian river otter, common otter and Old World otter, is a European and Asian member of the Lutrinae or otter subfamily, and is typical of freshwater otters.
It differs from the North American river otter by its shorter neck, broader visage, the greater space between the ears and its longer tail. |
