this is excellent capture for Common Pochard. I have taken it in many times, I cant close it unlike yours. great sharp details, POV/DOF, eyes contact, exposure. splendid colors. you are right, it is really colorful as a females.

You captured Lady Pochard beautifully. Her colors are wonderful - she is a fashion plate with the matching beak and "shoes." The details and shadings of her wings are marvelous. I love her eye. An excellent pose and a wonderful portrait.

This is one of the best portraits of a female Pochard, indeed any species of duck that I have seen!
It has everything, a fine low lateral POV, excellent sharpness and colours, great lighting, good pose and set in a fine composition against a pleasing neutral BG.

Maybe not as colorful as the male, but still very beautiful - disrete and elegant, I would say. She looks very friendly and I love the catchlight in her eye. Details are amazing, and the sober natural colors are very well captured. Excellent composition and POV. Very well done !
