[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This Large skipper (Ochlodes faunus) or also called (Ochlodes sylvanus) occured in great numbers in the nature reserve of the Mariapeel.
It was the kind of weather that every 5 minutes a drizzle started and in between clear blue skies. This provided ideal conditions. The butterflies, still wet from the just ended rain, stayed on the flowers to soak up the sun and collecting honey. For this picture I went into the wet vegetation to get a different point of view.

Hi Jacob,
Outstanding shot of this Skipper with its probiscis out sucking. Immaculate sharpness and fine focus. I like your POV to capture it head-on with the clear blue sky as BG. It gives a tremendous effect. I have a few shots with the same POV but not as good. Very nicely composed. Kudos.

Thanks for your kind critique on my recent picture, Jacob.
You have adopted an innovative point of view to capture this Skipper perched atop the flowers, which must not be very high.
The focus on the front portion of the insect is quite sharp with fine details.

you did a good job here, excellent composition. The natural light comes from the side, making wings and flowers somewhat transparent. And the long galea is entirely in focus. My compliment Jacob

Given the POV this flower must be higher than 2 meters ;-)
Lovely compo, but maybe you should have cut the flower just a bit further down.
