[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi all,
I gave the title of "First encounter" as this was the first bird i could really photograph in Amsterdam. I'm not sure about the ID though. There is a canal next to the office where i will be working for some time and i shot this there.
In future would like to explore more and meet fellow trekkers in Amsterdam and hopefully show more pictures from this beautiful city.

Note: I have a problem with my photo editing software and i'm not sure what happened the colors got messed up , so a colorless photo. sorry for that

Thanks
Goutham R

Hi Goutham,
welcome in Europe - I hope you enjoy your time in the Netherlands.
This shot is wonderful - unusual to see it in black/white - but I like it very much.
Thanks and bye

Hi Goutham,

It's nice to see a shot like this in black and white for a change. The details are marvelous. The water looks kind of rough.

Hi Goutham,
So what if the software went corrupt and colour got messed up, I appreciate this different presentation.

The pattern on this solitary duck's plumage look quite interesting and varied especially in the tones u got in this one.

Come to think of it, all "first encounters" in our lives 're mostly in these duotones of black and white ...it's only further explorations that will show u more true colours, the larger colours....

TFS & Cheers

Black and White is a strong medium for arty work, Goutham, and you know it.
