[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [Dutch]
I have made this photograph on the Vlietlanden a nature area near Vlaardingen. The morninglight has helped me with the composition, POV and BG. Below a short description of this nevertheless beautiful animal. He is easy find. Occurs on trees, shrubs, hedges, in grass countries and in the dunes. The maisonnette of the snail is 12 - 22 (seldom 28) x 18 - 25 (seldom 32) large. Ball-convex-conical, with 51/2 convex convolutions. He has generally a dark brown and thickened mouth lip. At youngsters copies this barge of colour is (to blank). The maisonnette is possible brown, yellow or rose is with striking contrasting dark diagrid lefts. That can be there at the most 5, but they can be lacking also. Size and age Some slag is smaller than other, because they are not yet adult or because they are as addults simply small. A young snail is of an adult snail by paying attention to the broad edge distinguish (= lip) at the end of the shell. Those arise at the end of the increase. The lip is at adult animals generally dark. At onvolwassen slag the lip is not dark and does not go nasty. The lip is then generally also gentle. Gyration of the maisonnette The maisonnette of C. nemoralis has been generally wound to Right. Sometimes you find also a link sum wound shell. This has been stipulated hereditary. Colour of the maisonnette The colour of the maisonnette can be brown, yellow or roze. That has been stipulated hereditary. The property is caused by one gen, of which three different all Len are confessed.
