[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In the seventies of the last century Eagle owls (Bubo bubo) were introduced in the Eifel. They proved to be able to find suitable breeding habitat and the population has grown very slow eversince. Since 1996 the eagle breeds on several locations in the Netherlands. Togheter with other volunteers I monitor the population and follow breeding succes.
This is a female (picture taken in the wild) which has left the nest after the eggs were succesfully hatched. The young ones started to be quite annoying for her, when constantly begging for food. She decided to find a place where she could have a good look on the nest and yet be far away enough to get some rest. Well, rest....get away you photographer!

Groetjes,
Paul

Hi Jacob,
Splendid shot of this Eagle Owl in its natural environs. The fiery eye contact is magnificent which almost says, "how dare you!" I like the overall composition very much. It is so nice to read your note and hats off to your effort in its conservation. Kudos.
TFS.

Hi Jacob,
Great to see one in the wild and not(however...) so far away from my place...

Yes, mothers do sometimes need to get away from their very demanding younglings, Jacob.
A very good capture of the Eagle Owl in her natural habitat. The foliage surrounding her gives the shot a natural look.
Eyes -- the most appealing feature of an owl -- have been well captured in this picture.
TFS.

Hi Jacob
Very nice and very natural in its hide! In this case I prefer by far the fact that a few branches and leaves are hiding the bird partly rather than a perfect Zoo shot.
Nice
TOM

Hello Jacob , congrat. to you for photographing this magnificient owl in NATURE . tfs.

Great that you found this Eagle owls in the wild. Beautiful natural settings and nice pov. Impressive nature photo.

Hallo Jacob,

Hello Jacob,
Marvellous to be able to capture this magnificent Owl in the wild. The Eagle Owl is not an easy species to photograph and it is not common in Sweden.
You have framed her nicely with the oak leaves and show her sharply with good lighting in this natural environment.
TFS and best wishes, Ivan

E' una specie che per me, come tutti i rapaci notturni, è altamente affascinante.
L'immagine ritrae bene il soggetto nel suo posatoio.

Ciao e grazie, Emanuele
