[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi all,
I want to start this note by dedicating this picture to Thijs van Balen jr (Pentaxfriend)!There is an interesting story behind this. I had written a request to Thijs asking for direction to the butterfly park(I don't know much of Netherlands) and he had replied with the directions and also mentioned that he will try to come there ! So when i went there today this wonderful man was there waiting for me! why i say this is because he had worked all night yesterday and had the energy and love to shoot butterflies and was ready to shoot them in morning with no rest! Thijs you are a wonderful guy and this picture is for you my friend!

This is Menelaus Blue Morpho (Morpho menelaus) is an iridescent tropical butterfly of Central and South America. It has a wing span of 6 inches (15 centimeters). The adult drinks juice from rotten fruit with its long proboscis, which is like a sucking tube. The adult males have brighter colors than the females.
The larva eat plants at night. The larva is red-brown in color with bright patches of lime-green or yellow. The larvae are also highly cannibalistic.

PS: Thijs also lend me his stand , otherwise i could not have shot with this exposure!

Hi Goutham. A excellent shot of the Blue Morpho. very good colours and fine detail showing it off to its best. very sharp focus.great colours and a nice POV .very well done TFS. with good notes.

great subject wonderful colors nice focus and good background. i wonder if there is just a slight hint of a green cast to the shot
