[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi all,
This was also shot at butterfly park in Leidschendam and Thijs(Pentaxfriend) identified this as female of Catonephele oretes, or the Orange-banded shoemaker butterfly which is a species of butterfly found in Costa Rica, Colombia, and northwest Ecuador.
Females open wings have a pattern similar to common sailer found in India but males have a horizontal orange band against a totally black wings!

hi goutham,
good one, but looks like slightly old with wings damaged. But recording the speicies is most important. But this is not as colorful as your other butterflies. I know every day is not sunday!!

Hello Goutham this is a fine shot the pov is perfect as is the light lovely contrast and pin sharp detail well done tfs rgds Necip.

A fine pic, pov and sharpness is good as usual. The light in that park do not look as good as that in B'lore, another reason for you to go in for a pair of speedlights :)

Another good shot of a tropical butterfly! Excellent POV and good colors and use of the flash! The dark bg enhances very well the insect! Maybe the upper wing is a little bit too close of the frame but it is just a personal taste...

The Shoemaker seems to have wings made of leather. A bit damaged. Great looking all the same.
