Perfect composed portrait of this very beautiful :) bird.
The diagonall line of the head is great and facial expression wonderful.
I also love the soft BG with green color tones, against wich the bird does stand out perfectly, very much.

Good portrait. Focus is spot on, revealing good detail. The background works well - good postwork there! I posted it to the workshop, working on the grain - which isn't really much for ISO 800. Hope you like.

Hi Annick

I see you have the Canon 1D Mark III. You are indeed, fortunate. Canon only shipped 5 to New Zealand and now there is a long wait, and empty promises from Canon on the next shipment. How are you finding it. I have read in the forums that there is a problem with the auto focus, especially in bright light.

I love this shot. Love the head down pose and the clear BG. Beautiful! Your equipment combination is a winner! :-)
