I have made this picture just by opening my right window of my car and to put a beanbag on the top of it.. By sitting on my knees on the driverseat i was able te get the bird in my viewfinder.. By using a 2x converter i was forced to use manual focusing.. It was very interesting!
The black-tailed godwit is a large wading bird with a very long straight bill and long legs. In flight it shows a white wing-stripe and a black and white tail. It has suffered a large breeding population decline in the past and is now a rare breeder. It is a summer visitor to its breeding grounds, wintering in Africa. Birds from northern Europe spend the winter on UK coasts. |

A lovely pose, she's a bit oof, but is still impressive. Lovely background.
Well done and thanks for sharing.
