This is beautifull.. and Fur Elise is one of my favourite pieces of music :D
His colours are beatiful, the details good.. He looks a bit shy, coming out from behind the plants.

Fantastic capture Pieter,
Excellent exposure, details, colours and sharpness.
I'm going to London zoo tomorrow, they have some of these colourful Ibis. They have also just opened an African Bird Aviary, which you can walk through.... Roll on tomorrow.

Een van mijn favoriete vogels, de rode ibus, prachtige kleur. Grappig is dat die in Amersfoort minder rood zijn dan die b.v. in Emmen of in Arnhem.. Nice picture, good sharpnes and composition.. Well done!

Gosh this is gorgeous! I love the expression on this Ibis. Everything is just right here except one nit and the only reason I mention it is because you specifically asked for it...this needed either a slight head turn of the bird or a soft fill flash to create a catch light in it's eye. The catchlight is important in a bird or any animal ( human too ) eyes because it gives life to it...it makes us believe it is living and breathing in front of us. Your Ibis is lacking a catch light. Other than that I can't find anything wrong.

Quite literally an outstanding photo! Beautiful colour, of course and a nice pose! Exposure just right. Shame about the laves in the way but I suppose if you could have avoidet them you would have.

Schitterende ibis zeg. De rood-groen combinatie is prachtig. Goed dat je de ibis iets schuil laat gaan achter een plant. Het komt de compositie beslist ten goede.

A very very great picture.
If we look very carefully to the picture, we can see the grass blurness.
But the really attracting and appealing issue is the bird and the red sharp color.
It's just a great Picture.
i've known from my own experience that if you want something booming it's either you make a great shot or a very awful one.
I guess that you have merged both of them which resulted a magnificent Photo!

The red color came out very good something that is very hard to do with a digital camera.
Excellent sharpness and the details are great, the FG is a bit disturbing the eye.
