Jan, very nice shot. Lovely amount of detail and great DOF. This Dragonfly is trying to be modern with this background.

I'm surpised he held on. I saw one trying to get a purchase on some polythene the other day, he kept sliding down, most amusing. Yes the sexes are a different colour. The females are a dirty yellow. Over time from emergence to 'old age' the colours change. The colours can even be affected by temperature in some species.
