Hi, dear Teunie.
Very nice pictorial picture. I like so interesting scene at whole. DOF is selected very well and impressive ground and cactuses are displayed excellently. Main subject is amazing too. Wonderful butterfly and fine inclined leaf are looked perfectly. Sharpness of the mage is excellent as well as the colours and lights. May be image of the butterfly is underexposed quite a little bit but it is dark colour tone which is so difficult for reproduction with crisp details. Bravo and TFS. My best wishes.

hij staat er goed op Teinie,
maar als ik eerlijk moet zijn. Mis ik hier een invul flits. ik weet dat het toen een donkere dag was. Het zat niet mee met het licht, toch nog een mooi resultaat.

A very nice shot of this elegant butterfly - the Ruby-spotted Swallowtail.
This really is a very beautiful species and you managed to put all its advantages out here, presenting it with very nice sharp details and with a contrasting BG.
The image has good composition and POV, well saturated colors and tones.
I think that the BG is a bit noisy and i've tried running it through NeatImage but that didn't work...i guess it's one if those few cases when it doesn't help, so i have to assume you've done all you could to present it in the best way possible.

This is a beauty! What a wonderful specie. You caught it in perfect pose, details, colors and exposure. I would maybe have removed this little noise in background but this is minor nit for such a nice capture. I wish I could see this specie someday :) Greetings,

powerful presentation with clear details and pleasantly contrasting colours.
Some PP noise removal from background might further increase the image's high quality.
Nice to see the well detailed background that is looking much more natural than most insectariums I know of.

A beautiful capture of this Ruby-spotted Swallowtail. This is a well presented, well focused and very sharp image. A lovely close up filled with a variety of features and details. Hi Teunie

What a fabulous long legged dandy have you here? Not that those antennae are any shorter. I just love this shot showing the sharp butterfly in stark contrast to the picturesque and OOF surroundings. It has outstanding impact on the visual senses.

The aperture selection resulted in an excellent DOF which worked well for this shot. The colours are well saturated and the composition is first class. The exposure levels were well managed and resulted in a very pleasing shot.
