Today I went for a walk at the Loonse en Drunense Duinen National Park. It was a cold and sunny day, and the views were very nice. The park was partically white because of the snowfall last night.
From the internet:
This National Park contains the largest area of active shifting sands in western Europe. Here, in the dunes of Loon and Drunen, the shifting sands result in an ever-changing landscape. In contrast, south of the shifting sands is De Brand, an area of typical wet marsh woodland, reed vegetation and grasslands.
Park’s main features: Sand dunes and marshy woodland
Special flora: Morison’s spurry, grey hairgrass, sand sedge, sundew, wood anemone
Special fauna: American tre frog, nightjar, woodlark, natterjack, field crickets, maritime beetle, various types of bee and ichneumon fly
Recreational activities: Cycling, walking, mountain biking, horse riding, excursions
Area: 3,500 ha

Hi Nel,
It's very interesting for me to see all this snowy images from up there.
I like the way everything seems to be covered by the white snow, and the contrast it makes with the vegetation and blue sky, in this case.

Hoi Nel,
Jullie daar in het zuiden hebben het wel weer voor elkaar. Ik heb echt zitten wachten op wat sneeuw, maar alles wat ik zaterdag heb gezien was te nat om te blijven liggen. Het effect van de sneeuw op het gele zand is wel heel erg mooi.
je compositie is erg goed, de diagonale lijn van de bomen geven de foto een mooie diepte. Belichting en scherpte zijn perfect. Ik denk dat ik toch maar eens die kant op moet.

Nice place and nice picture. I like your POV and composition. Colours are very good. Only image is soft a little bit. Crisp sharpness reflects the cold weather a bit better. But it is matter of taste. TFS and my best regards.

Goedemorgen Nel,
Zo scrollend door jouw archief kwam ik deze mooie foto tegen van de Loonse en Drunense Duinen. Dit gebied heeft altijd een speciaal plaatsje in mijn hart. Ik heb er zelf een paar keer gewandeld en het verbaasde me steeds weer dat sommige bomen, die nagenoeg ondergestoven zijn, toch nog in leven kunnen blijven. Zo zie je maar dat de natuur heel veerkrachtig is. Jouw foto geeft gelijk aan hoe groot deze vlaktes zijn. Geen mens te bekennen, wat lichte sneeuw op de grond en een mooie blauwe hemel tegen de achtergrond van de dennen. Verassend dat dit ook Nederland is. Volgens mij had je toen een speciaal gevoel, van zo wat een rust. Ik kan me dat zo voorstellen. Mooie compositie. Scherp en natuurlijke kleuren. Groeten en TFS BOB
