Super Gert. she shows off to her children and the world. And now she has the notion and rightly so that she is the protector as she was before hatched. Hi Gert,

How sweet - mother and babies are lovely. They remind me of the quails here and their children. Except, both parents are always with them. I usually see them from the back too - if only humans were as protective of their children as these are! Your mallards look wonderful on the green grass.

Hi Gert,
This mommy and kids look like out on a walk.Really nice PoV and with good details.
I love the contrasts offered by the green and the dark shades on the bodies of the subjects.She with her head turned looks as if smiling and content.A lovely complementary post to Alexei's post today that celebrates "family life".

Oh, beautiful, Gert, it is such a nice picture and very well composed too. I wonder where are the other ones because the mallards usually have a lot of ducklings. Anyhow, this is a very nice p icture, with beautiful colours and much to say. Thank you!

Hi Gert,
Mooi familie-shot. Zijn deze pijltjes met z'n tweeën of zijn er nog meer kleintjes? Meestal zie je de hele familie achter elkaar aan waggelen. Zo'n schattig gezicht.
Mooi dat de moeder nog even licht haar hoofd omgedraaid heeft. Dat geeft de foto net iets extra's
