You mastered your new camera very quickly! Beautiful in flight shot of this Shelduck with wonderful colors and good details. I love the face with the red beak and the nice eye. Caught in a lovely position with the nice sky as a background.

Hi Peter,
Well composed and a good POV in this, your first with the D300.
It takes some getting used to anytime you pick up a new one..
Perhaps a little faster s-speed, tripod/monopod, and ISO 400 would help you get it sharp the next time out.

Good shot, you should have increased the speed a bit but the switch from D70 to D300 is noticable !

congratulation for your new D300, you have a very good choice , it is an excellent camera
Pose and composition are perfect but I think ISO 200 is not a good choice for this picture, you loose a bit quality in the sharpness, try again with ISO 400 or 640

Congratulations on getting a new camera. I almost said toy because in many ways they are like achild getting a new toy; we just cannot wait to 'play' with them!

Your new 'toy' works very well! (With, of course the help of a talented photographer!)
This is an excellent action shot, sharp and detailed! I like the way the sun is highlighting the torso but the wings are in shadow. Good colours and nicely composed.
