[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These picture taken in the Aekingersand or also called Cale dunes.
In the Netherlands we have a few from these aeria's and I have been placed one in the past.
Here is another, I have also been placed from trees in the water or in the water when the water were frozen.
So you can't see that a lot of trees living in difficult circumstances.
Here are an tree standing alone in the living sand.
About 150-100 years ago the planted a lot of trees so that the sand goes not futher to change the land in some desset situation and now the government gives it back to the nature.
In the night it is very cold on the groud and in daylight can it be very hot.

Hi Gert,

This is what I always thought a desert looked like - until I moved to Arizona. I love the lone tree with the sand and sky. I am always amazed how trees survive here. With summer temperatures in the 100's and little or no water.

Hi Gert,
This is indeed a nice capture of a finely branched lonely tree in the midst of a dune in slow motion, a good lesson in dune ecology my friend, and surely a good composition.
Cheers,
Mehmet

Hello Gert

I like this composition very much.
The blue sky contrasts the white sandy beach beautifully.
The offset tree is well placed inthe frame.
